New York Style Pizza! The Story Behind The Pizza Place.

I started working at the pizza place back in 2001. It was an old-school Italian pizzeria run by a man from Naples. I worked there during the winters while attending college and spent my summers working at the Quaker Ridge Golf Club.

In 2007, my boss offered me the chance to buy the pizza place. It was a dream come true, and by May of 2008, I became the owner.

Since then, I’ve owned and operated several pizzerias in Melbourne, FL, specializing in New York-style pizza, calzones, strombolis, and pan pizzas. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m grateful for the support of my customers throughout the years.

My passion for pizza-making started at The Pizza Place, where I learned the art of making the pizzas. I’m proud to continue that tradition.

Owning a pizzeria has its challenges, but seeing the smiles on my customers’ faces when they take that first bite of a hot, cheesy slice makes it all worthwhile. It’s more than just a business; it’s a community, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.

I still own The Pizza Place in the Renningers Market, and I’m proud to say that it’s become a staple in the Melbourne, FL community. We’re known for our delicious New York-style pizza, and pan pizzas selection. Following the time Honored techniques that I learn from my mentors and colleagues from all around the world.

Owning a pizzeria has been a wild ride, but I’ve also had the opportunity to pursue other passions. One of those passions is leatherworking, which led me to start Taza Leather in 2019. Taza Leather specializes in crafting high-quality leather goods, including wallets, bags, and belts, using traditional leatherworking techniques.

While my focus on The Pizza Place is from Friday to Sunday, I’m also proud of what we’ve accomplished at Taza Leather. We’re committed to sustainability and using only high-quality materials to create beautiful and functional leather goods.
